Reiki is pronounced ray-key which means universal life energy.
Usui Reiki is broken into three parts, Reiki First Degree, Reiki Second Degree and Reiki Master/Teacher.
Reiki is secular enlightenment system as well as a re-balancing system developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1900’s. It is not attached to any religion and no belief system is needed.
Reiki is a non-invasive healing system to bring about well being and balance to all living things. As a Reiki Practitioner you act as a channel for our universal "healing" energy.
The energy is exchanged from practitioner to recipient via a series of hand positions. A Reiki treatment can be carried out with the recipient lying down on a couch/bed or sat upright in a supportive chair.
Reiki is not a massage the recipient remains fully clothed at all times.
